About our school.....
The aim of the school is to provide all children with the best education possible and to ensure that they are given a broad and exciting range of experiences during their education.
Gwenfo has one class per year group and each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and computers. The classes are supported by 0.5 special needs support and specialist Welsh and PE. We have one Higher Level Teaching Assistant and 5 Learning Support Assistants.
We have a free breakfast club funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, children may come to school from 8am to enjoy a healthy breakfast.

Gwenfo is a voluntary controlled school for children aged between 4 and 11 years of aged situated in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The school has a Christian ethos which promotes a happy, safe, caring and stimulating environment in which your child can grow socially, intellectually, morally, and physically. We aim to nurture talent, develop imagination and promote respect and tolerance for others.
Gwenfo is set in beautiful grounds with fields, trees and woodland areas situated at the heart of the pretty
Gwenfo has a full range of extra curricular activities available which include: rugby, football, netball, hockey, cricket, athletics, art, recorder, chess, cookery, eco club, french and dance. Music tuition is available for most musical instruments.
The school holds bronze and silver awards for the eco schools project and children are encouraged to care for the environment. The school holds four healthy school awards.
Our teaching approach embraces pupils with a range of needs from additional learning needs to more able and gifted needs. All work is carefully prepared and differentiated to ensure that each pupil progresses at the appropriate rate.
